Wood or leather steering wheel?
A few weeks ago we swapped over our walnut steering wheel, which was fitted temporarily until our leather steering wheel arrived from the UK. I liked the look of the walnut wheel but think the stone leather trimmed wheel really looks the business. I prefer the thicker leather rim as its more comfortable on longer drives. Thought I would post before and after photos for an informal poll - wood or leather, what's your preference (for a steering wheel)?

I like my Motalita wood rimmed wheel and so does a small rodent that has chewed a chunk out of it last week whilst the car was parked in my garage!
That reminds me to put out the mouse traps  Harald

Don't really like the feel of it without............anyone manufacture a thick wood one   Neil.

Hello Mr. M,
difficult decision - of course always a question of personal taste.
+ Pro leather: Matches perfectly with the leather of the seats etc.
- Contra leather: Very sensitive for stains. You should wear gloves in a light colour (the same problem with the seats. Pay attention when wearing new dark-blue jeans!)
+ Pro wood: Depends on your personal taste. Classic and classy look for a trad - BUT: look at contra
- Contra wood: Gets easily a cheap-looking retro-fitted look when itīs not exactly matching the colour of the dashboard-wood. Itīs possible to get adapted the wood of a Motolita steering wheel by pickling/bating (MK is doing that perfectly).
In your case and after looking your pictures I would recommand the leather version.

A wooden steering wheel means wearing leather gloves which makes driving even more stylish.
