Charlie: 2 weeks to go - any news? It should be built and on a boat I guess? I visited my dealer today (and met 1560 ) and ended up speccing my car. So I've gone for Morgan Stingray Grey (seems appropriate as I sold my Stingray to fund the Morgan), tan and chrome. ETA end of January! Yup, enjoyed the lunch, talked a bit too much I suppose but certainly looking forward to meet again, preferably out there driving our 3whlrs

My car is ready! Going to see it tomorrow. Hopefully bringing it home.
Stingray Metallic Grey with black leather and shiny bits.
2 spec changes seem to have been introduced that I had not requested. I wanted the black exhaust shield covers to provide some contrast and match the wheelarches, but seem to have got the aluminium (or whatever it is now). Will want to take a look but that's easily changed.
More oddly, the car was ordered without stickers, but apparently sports the 'shark' motifs at the front. I wonder if this may be hiding something? I don't suppose I'll be asked to pay for the sticker if it's there in error but would you get it removed??
Not wishing to be sceptical but have found during too many years on this planet that things like this often happen for a reason.
Any views? Anyone else had this? Can the stickers be removed and replaced? How easy are they to remove?
(My son loves the shark motif and is very pleased!)
Advice gratefully received and photos will be posted asap.

I always wondered why the people who have got their cars dont upload lots of pics. And its because they spend every spare minute driving their cars. I will get a website up at somepoint with the pics on, as I find uploading here a total pain/impossible. I will try an upload now for you. Suffice to say, the car is fantastic and anyone who is worried about the financial aspect should rest easy. I'm convinced you will think its the best money you hav ever spent. That would be great. Thank you, vincesf

mine had the Morgan3whlr logo's at the back the BIG ones didn't ask either, but had them on for a few months then had them taken away and weren't hiding anything don't get too paranoid you'll get yourselve in enough trouble driving it

Wisco the stickers should be easy to remove just need to soften the glue with a hair drier or very carefully with a heat gun. Have you asked why it was stickered up? Look forward to the photos and your fist driving experience, if you collected from the factory I'll keep my eyes peeled on my trip to welsh Wales

Thanks for the helpful advice. It was probably just a mistake - there were lots of 3 wheelers going through PDI and I expect someone put it on before they noticed.
Will take a good peek though, and ask the searching questions that are always hard to find when all I want to do is climb in and drive off into the puddles.

Got the car! And have spent most of the time since then playing, fiddling with, and driving it!
Mostly very good. Huge fun to drive, engine makes a lovely noise, gearbox great, loads of attention, my kids absolutely love it, their friends think it's the coolest car on the planet, feels plenty quick enough even with no more than 3300 rpm used so far by me.
There have definitely been big improvements to the production methods and the car was pretty good on delivery - BHM did a great job in the little time I gave them before picking the car up.
Summary so far (and pics will follow):
1. New steering is generally great - less bump feedback but still very talkative steering. Light, quick but not too quick, responds to slightest movement as you'd hope. Car is a bit nervous at speed and wanders - not sure if this is how they all are. Geometry was checked but will see if I get used to it or perhaps it can be adjusted. Not a big problem but I don't remember the nervousness on the road tests with the old steering set-up. Turning circle pretty awful but who cares.
2. Ride is really rather good and much better than I remember on earlier cars. Whole car feels very 'together'.
3. Still not much room for legs but have driven for an hour or so and not needed doctors to assist afterwards.
4. Boot lid is a bit of an uneven fit (and has slightly marked the paint. Boot cover fixings work ok just about but are not a great solution. I'm sure somebody will come up with a better solution soon. However, pales into insignificance when compared with...
5. ...taking the cowl off. Actually, getting it off is just about ok as long as you remember to make a nice big protected space for somewhere to put it once you've fiddled with it and got it off. Very neat under the bonnet - had a look at the wiring because the Intercom system (which looks like it will be great when it works!) is not switching on. Wiring for the power looks a bit odd. BHM to the rescue in due course but for now will have to do without it (I couldn't wait to pick the car up so gave the folks at BHM no time to check this out). Putting the cowl back on is really daft but I did manage it in the end. The quarter turn fixings get in the way, are very awkward to engage (although I suppose you do get better at it with practice), do not feel they will last more than a few weeks, and one of them fell to pieces so I had to repair with pliers and put back.) Again - this is an area that could really do with a better solution but part of the attraction too.
6. Ali floor of car is quite badly scratched under carpets and seats - don't know why this is not a bit better protected during build but even then the scratches are unnecessarily deep. I suppose this doesn't do any harm - just spoils the overall effect a bit.
7. Bevel box and other noises from driveline seem to come and go. Overall the bevel box seemed much quieter than I had heard before on initial driving and is pretty good but seems worse in 4th and 5th gears. Can't really understand why, and it may just be because of increasing speed. If anything, it's got a bit worse in the 100 miles I've done so far, but overall not too bad. Funny whining / chirping sounds some of the time but hopefully will bed in - something might be rubbing.
8. Lights much better than I expected.
9. Voltmeter on dashboard very neat and useful.
10. Love the instruments and bits. Horn is rather an awkward switch but gets easier with practice. Sounds just about ok but a twin tone air-horn would be a good upgrade and the horn is more important than on most vehicles.
11. Some stowage space would be nice. There's room behind the gearlever / handbrake for a little something and I saw some leather bags in an Allon White car I think that look great and would help. Foot rest / safe may be a good addition but for now I can get the kids' sports kit in the footwell so can take them home which with the footrest might not be possible. Some special purpose bag for the boot would be nice, but tonneau and toolkit take up most of the room at present anyway.
12. Brakes fine but take a decent shove as reported many times before, but suit the car well and give confidence. Handbrake works very well.
13. No graunching with normal size sleeping policemen and school speed bumps taken nice and slow. But worth taking nice and slow!
Overall, very pleased and car is great fun to drive. Easy to spin rear wheel, but handling is fun and safe. Limits clearly not especially high but car makes you 'engage' at all times which is why it's so much fun. What a shame that winter is on its way, but at least that will keep the miles down.
Car is now on 150 miles and need to decide whether to change the oil or not. Had a long chat with BHM about this, and probably won't bother but will bring the car in a bit early for its 1,000 miles service. Running the engine, gearbox and bevel box in carefully and will see how it all develops.
Very pleased overall and loving all the tinkering and fiddling, but also the fact that I've had no real problems. Car starts easily hot or cold. Immobiliser works well and probably worthwhile. Last night after a glass or two of wine a local friend decided he wants one, and is on his way to BHM with me shortly to make an order. Not sure I want another one too close - the rarity is extremely nice.
For those of you waiting - the wait is worth it and then some! And the wife is beginning to quite like it too!!!
