I hope your gets fixed and settles down.

Much the same experience for me with my 4/4 sport in 18 months/12500km - the enamel on the badges started falling off within a couple of months & the rear badge came loose. The elasticated netting in the glove compartment went twang and Morgan France managed to nail right through the dashboard repairing it, so the car currently has a vinyl covered dash which they fitted while I wait for a replacement painted one. In all it has been a really enjoyable and hassle free 18 months.

I'm reminded that when I ordered my first new Mog (which was my 3rd Mog) a good friend who'd had his since 1969 warned me that I'd have an awful first year sorting it, but after that it would be great forever. He was right. Remember also that there were times when people collected their new cars from the factory and drove them straight to Uncle Melvin's to have them put together again. Charles sorted the quality out so that it was no longer necessary .
Once it settles it's a strong, reliable car. (I suppose mine will blow up now,)

Tempting fate Nick???

Mine now has the odd problem - but at 36 years old, it is to be expected. I wish I was in such good condition at that age laugh2

It is a shame though that when you get a pretty expensive new car that you spend the time replacing mirrors and shock absorbers, then have to find the right places to stick foam to stem the ingress of rain, stop the side screens from bowing out at speed etc..
HELL ---- what am I talking about?? --- I have actually enjoyed sorting these things and generally fiddling/fettling if it was otherwise it would be like a boring Porker or the like!!! grin2 happy3

I agree. With the Morgan you are given the permission to sort it yourself.

Yes, all part of the 'familiarisation',
which continues with suspension greasing, checking for slackening nuts shocked2 and other joyful spanner wielding (except when it's blowing a gale through the garage and getting 12 feet from garage to back door involves a wet suit... rofl )

Graham I didn't realise Morgan made submarines but then I found this on the net.

But I see they made a spelling mistake.

Had a 5 year old 4/4 4 seater but took delivery of a new plus 4 " seater back in Oct 2010.The car has been garaged and only done 4k. It's a great car, but my only gripe is that it squeaks (not a rattle !) a lot when warm. I'm hoping that Nick W is right and that it's just a case of getting it sorted because I'm planning to keep the car for years and years
