Has anyone yet driven around a track in a new three wheeler yet?
I have, last week at Blyton Park. It was a test day for three wheeler manufacturers of all types, and I was there with one of my Aero Cycle Cars, and met Sam from the factory who tests and delivers them. I asked him for a test run, and he said go easy with it. Go easy with it....I thrashed it (well, within reason)...what a beast, I take my hat off, well the wind nearly removed my bone dome from me anyway! Excellent steering if a little heavy perhaps, but seriously sure footed, some serious screaching of tyres into and out of the chicanes, and marvelous tail slides. The brakes were magnificent and hauled the speed down from about 85mph to enter corners fast. I have to admit that it was very positive all round, but I noticed quite some negative camber, maybe Sam adjusted it up! Superb gear change, maybe a hint of whine from the back end perhaps.
Christ, I make "Morgan replicas"....but even I want one of these!
Blyton Park is a superb track for beginners like me, no barriers and plenty of run off if you come unstuck...its an old Lancaster and Wellington airfield, a superb experience.
Well, there we are just need to find the spare £30K!

Yes, I thought the Enzo was cruising too, although it might have been an owner who didn't want to overstress his expensive motor? I've noticed that owners of 'Supercars' don't seem capable of driving their cars to the max, unlike the Locaterfield brigade.

why cruising:
99,99% of the cars are NOT insured "on track" also, if I would have hit the Enzo, fully my fault, I would only have to deal with MY dammage and nog his therefor he quickly moved "out" when I followed a bit too close
would you risk the €€€€€€€€€? therefor I took my cars more on the Nuerburgring (insured due to "normal tax-road") and less on racetracks (maxie only once on a very very very VIP-day with only 35cars)

I understand what you are saying about expensive cars, but, to me anyway, it sorts of mitigates the reason for taking your car on track in the first place, if you can't at least use it to, say, 90% of its' and the drivers ability. It seems like a wast of time and money.
Your driving was very smooth by the way, I noticed you were steering with the push pull method and not a fixed grip, which most racers and track day drivers seem to prefer?

thanks, heavy steering/way to large diameter of the steering wheel makes me use that method for driving the 3whlr in my bmw Mcoupé I do use fixed grip (direct steering= )

Of course, stupid of me, my cars steering seems to weight up as I turn into a corner, but as I haven't had it on track yet, it hadn't occurred to me which was the best steering method to use.
