Yes, I thought the Enzo was cruising too, although it might have been an owner who didn't want to overstress his expensive motor? I've noticed that owners of 'Supercars' don't seem capable of driving their cars to the max, unlike the Locaterfield brigade. I've had a few 'supercars'. It's actually very hard to find a track where you can drive them 'to the max'. My Ford GT got pretty well exercised around Le Mans a few times, but on my nearest track (Goodwood) it would be impossible. Most folk I know with supercars are very happy to thrash them, they're build for it.

Fixed grip on my 1930 three wheeler. Have to otherwise the throttle lever wouldn't be in reach.
But with only 270 degrees lock to lock, not a hardship.

Almost all the Ferraris out with 1560 were taking it easy, might even be described as pedestrian.
If you've spent all that money on a car it seems a shame not to use, after all you're not going to stretch its legs on the road.

It's not just about the money tho' is it. I went to a track day at Monthléry some years ago, when the Bentley Drivers Club and the Aston Martin Owners Club were all caning their very valuable cars mercilessly (particularly the vintage Bentleys).

I went to a track day at Monthléry some years ago, when the Bentley Drivers Club and the Aston Martin Owners Club were all caning their very valuable cars mercilessly (particularly the vintage Bentleys). I love to see (and hear) old race cars being really used My memory is of the Le Mans 24 hour (2007 from memory). I met a guy, initially at St Saturnin, who had driven down in a genuine D Type. He then campaigned it at the pre Le Mans event, and I caught up with him again en route to St Malo at a petrol station. I think Lofty England would have approved! Bud __________ 2003 - 4/4
