Hi All,
I've just bought a 2008 +4 from a salvage yard to rebiuld. It's had a hefty shunt to the rear 3/4, requires a new tub and some chassis jigging. It's metallic grey with a dark red leather interior, red weather equipment and screens, timber dash with matching motolita wheel, wires and over-riders. Registered 25.1.08 having covered 25398 miles.
Does anyone out there know this car, it's former owner or it's reg?
Cheers
Mike

From what I remember of a nearly new car that was crashed on a hillclimb, the wooden bits recovered their shape amazingly well, once the thrust of the bent chassis was removed.

I'd take advice, but my feeling is if one separated the chassis and straightened that, one might well be surprised at how well the tub comes back. Got a feeling that jigging a complete car is not a good idea for a Morgan, but I can't back the idea up as it is that, just an idea.

I am no expert but would strongly suspect that if it needs a new tub then it would also need a new chassis, however they are (comparatively) low cost.

Thanks for your advice, I have already rebuilt a few Morgans from the chassis up, so if it needs replacing then I'll do so.
I'll post pictures as I progress, if time allows it'll be ready for the spring.
