Over here at my local wine merchant a bottle of Non Vintage Krug Grande Cuvée will set you back about €135 and a bottle of Krug 1995 Vintage about €250. On the surface, it may look like the same thing, but it's not. (and that's not to say the NV is anything less than excellent).

Not an expert, but as far as I know, the chassis is an Aero, bonded job, and work from there...BMW stuff vs. Ford is going to cost too...fascinated to see that the Plus 8 is mid-engined, what's all the pointy stuff at the front for, then?

Looks a million dollars in that advert. Even the standard steering wheel looks ok.....can't believe I said that!

There is a world of difference in the ride and feel of the two. Plus the +8 with the auto box goes like a bullet

Aero cars are more expensive for a reason, for example it takes almost 3 times as many man hours to assemble a rolling chassis than a trad and then there are the costs of the materials i.e. bonded alluminium tub, BMW V8, IRS, AP brakes etc...
I like to think of the Aero SS and the Plus 8 as essentially the same car, however one is wearing an Armani suit and the other is wearing a more traditional Saville Row three piece suit!
At £15k less than an Aero SS Coupe it's a bargain, just a little bit difficult to get to grips with the price as it has been slotted into the classic range.
Kind regards Chris

You sure you don't write Charles's scripts Chris?

you only have to compare the rolling chassis in build shop to witness the vast difference in complexity between the aero and traditional.

Dont get this wrong guys - I think Morgans are wonderful individual cars. And I would like one. But how on earth can you rationally ( ie comparing performance, function, construction quality, equipment) justify the Plus 4 costing more than the new Boxter and the plus 8 costing more than a 911 carrera 4 cabriolet? Surely at present price levels, new Morgans are overpriced by some margin. So taking off the rose tinted glasses, dont you agree?
