Thank's it makes me feel good being a short arse because I like them both . My first car was a Renault Floride , broke down more times than I care to remember . Once on the old A19 my mates and me pushing it and along came a police car . They must have had some speaker system and bellowed at us to get stuck in and move it off the road . We bellowed back $?+* off and I threw a spanner at them so they came and gave us a hand . Also while running a village fair they asked would I run the beauty queen in the rear around the village for cash . I had no starting motor in ( waiting for one to arrive ) while following a pony and trap up a hill I stalled everything ground to a halt . Out of nowhere 4 plain closed policemen arrived and had to bump start me up the hill . That was my luck out she refused to speak to me and I thought I was OK for a few dates out with her. You win some you loose some.  Always loved it too... My dreams were completely shattered when, having the funds to buy one, I realized that at 6 foot 3 (with long legs) I could simply not fit in it. The same experience happened with a stunning Alpine Renault.

Me too. The 246 has been my favourite ever since I watched Tony Curtis drive one every week in The Persuaders when I was a kid.
A few years ago I was lucky enough to drive one myself, an awesome experience. One of the few cars I'd swap my Morgan for (but that's another topic!)

When I worked for a bank (back in my youth!) one of our customers had a 246 in dark blue, which I managed to have a ride in - awesome experience! A few days later he sold the car as it had "embarrassed" him at the Dartford Tunnel tolls when the window refused to open! It's always been one of my favourites too - but well out of reach money-wise.
