Interesting comments above. I'm a fairly new member to the MSCC, just about a year. The magazine while quite nicely turned out and glossy can be a tad dull; I have a quick flick through and thats about it, mainly adverts and coffee shop runs with a bit on competition. Very little in the way of technical reports and articles which is what would be of interest for me. The Land Rover Series One Club Magazine "Legend" is street's ahead. I showed my partner pictures of the Annual Dinner and Dance which was reported on, she thought it looked like a Bankers corporate dinner - with apologies to anyone who attended. But seriously I think perhaps a few more technical articles along with the tea and coffee shop stuff would make a decent balance and improve the magazine.

The Mog fancying fraternity is very well served by books but when it comes to journals we are let down - Miscellany - Dull coffee shop runs by men (and women) sporting Biggles hats and handle bar moustaches. Mog - fun, I look forward to it but I find it a bit of a light weight, lifestyle advertorial. Morgan World - Uncle Melvin advertorial (from what I have heard) Anyone care to start a rival magazine ?

Morgan World - Uncle Melvin advertorial (from what I have heard) TMW has a lot more technical stuff in it though... I find it the most interesting of the 3 mentioned above... And the man in question is a REAL enthusiast for the marque - no matter whether you have a brand new car or one that is approaching 100 years old... Cheers,

Once arrived, mine sit unread for weeks. That says volumes to me regarding how appealing Miscellany is. When I do take the time to open them they often end up in the recycling bin within five minutes.

unless you write an article on endless boring visits to coffee stops/restaurants/god knows what other scenic places, you won't get published. like this month Dracula Mog visit, yawn, who wants to know about the lovely hotels/places to visit etc, tech articles are few and far between, its standard has deteriorated greatly over the last year or two sadly. I spent all of 10 minutes reading Novembers issue which arrived yesterday, standard poor content as usual. Rob, Agree totally- bit like Horse and Hound with an oily rag thrown in for good measure It strikes exactly the same chord with me as the National Trust's mag used to. I must, however, make the point that there is one notable exception- I quite like that Dave W's concours bit ( grovel, grovel) G

Think that it's 2 magazines pa, but £22 for 2 years?

I have to agree with Frank. I glance through it when it drops through the letter box and then it ends up in the bin most times. Not a patch on the MG Club mag. I have the same comments and MSCC should take a look at the MX5 owners club mag and see how it should be done.

That's useful to know. I assume all of you have written technical articles and sent them in to Charles Neal? Will have a look at MX5 Mag- is it online? What else would you like to see in Miscellany?
