Is Miscellany a publication you get when you're an owner, or if you join MSCC? Think I saw some copies at the dealership.

It comes free each month if you are a member of MSCC. Lots of ads and some interesting topics from members, but for me it seems a little 'incestuous' among 'those old hands in the know'.

Editorial wise, they never entertained any of my stuff or reply to contacts so I have given up trying any more. (So that's me stuffed no doubt, but Hey, I've been in worse fixes). I'm still hanging in there though hide .

I have to agree with Frank. I glance through it when it drops through the letter box and then it ends up in the bin most times. Not a patch on the MG Club mag.

unless you write an article on endless boring visits to coffee stops/restaurants/god knows what other scenic places, you won't get published. like this month Dracula Mog visit, yawn, who wants to know about the lovely hotels/places to visit etc, tech articles are few and far between, its standard has deteriorated greatly over the last year or two sadly. I spent all of 10 minutes reading Novembers issue which arrived yesterday, standard poor content as usual.

Very much an insiders mag I agree, but not bad for a club effort, if you ever want a cream tea the regional centre reports will fill you in ( or up) eat

Agree with most of the comments on Miscellany. I usually just look at the pictures and the advertisements - the articles are pretty dull. There was one decent article this month on the comparative ownership experiences of a 4/4 and an MX5.

I agree with many of the comments about Miscellany. I find the most interest in comparing the prices in the various used car ads.
Otherwise, IMHO, it is all a bit dull and boring. Reading the various Centre Reports sums up the problem. . . .
When I mentioned Talk Morgan to a local MSCC stalwart, I was treated with wide eyed amazement, which I think confirmed to him that I am not the "right type" (in his opinion) to be a club member.

Talking of Miscellany ads. I noticed a dealer ad. for a new 4/4 at £42.6k!!!!
I suppose that if there are people stupid enough to buy an Aston Martin Cygnet there will also be those who will pay £40k++ for a 4/4.
Don.
