you are right, it is mad to go that fast, but I had the feeling, that my Morgan Mustang likes it, too.
Here I have a question. When do use your 6th gear? With 3500 rpm I already reached 200 km/h.

Once the Allen bolts are loosened (they feel captive in that they spin but don't remove) the wheel should come off with some persuasion?! It feels extremely tight to me and I wouldn't want to damage it (further). On my Moto-Lita steering wheel there are nuts on the rear of the steering wheel boss. These nuts have to be removed from the bolts before the bolts come free from the boss. Once all of the bolts are removed, the steering wheel should lift free from the boss. I am wondering if the installers used some adhesive to hold the steering wheel onto the boss during assembly. This is exactly right. I removed the central bolt today and then could access the bolts behind the Allen bolts - the parts then came away perfectly. I was under the impression that you could remove the rim without removing the wheel. You can't. Another highly technical lesson learned! My rim is now with a furniture restorer and will be fitted back on the car on Friday morning!  ——---------------- Axel, I use 6th very rarely. It's too long a gear, so it would only be used on the motorway to put the rpm at a very low rate. As I positively avoid motorways in the Morgan, I don't get to use 6th at all. 3rd and 4th is where the action is for me. Do you have a rattle at around 2,500 rpm in yours? Could be engine, could be exhaust - but it's there when accelerating through and changing and also noticable on the overrun. I'm curious to see if this is a feature on all Roadsters or just mine....

I'm curious to see if this is a feature on all Roadsters or just mine.... We had a very similar problem on the Plus 4. It was fixed on the second attempt when some looseness was discovered in the rear central bonnet mount. I'm not sure exactly how it was fixed. Originally we were sure it was something loose behind the dash.

I use 6th all the time, but don't use 1st  I do agree about 3rd & 4th  Ian

BHM will soon be serving mine for the first time, they may be able to identify the rattle - although these things are very hard to find. Axel, we need some photos of your beast.
