From my experience with the demo 3 wheeler, the US Spec (LHD) turn signal stalk is on the "wrong" side as far as my brain is concerned; it is on the right hand side of the steering column as so it does not come in contact with the body panels.

This is something I mentioned in my initial impressions thread: http://www.talkmorgan.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/101229/US_Spec_3_Wheeler_Test_Drive_F#Post101229

LHD - the demo I was testing

I was worried about that as well. Did they do that for (to) every LHD 3 Wheeler?

Also, nice dash panels, Aeroman!

Thanks very much!

p.s. I was born in Detroit. Two things:
(1) You drove the 3 Wheeler in the Dream Cruise? Awesome! I'm surprised it didn't make AutoWeek.
(2) You're going to drive a 3 Wheeler on Michigan roads? Ouch! Carry spare tubes and maybe shocks! wink

I believe that they are all this way as there are a lot of components that have to be flipped between the 2 configurations.

I took my test drive the day before cruise weekend, so the locals and die hards were already poping up, not full cruise crazyness though. The Auto Europe guys were displaying it that weekend during the cruise.

I don't plan on doing much inner city driving where the roads are the worst, a lot of the back roads and M-roads are in really good condition, perfect for 3 seasons of cruising!

Now I just need it to be built...

True that. Up by the lakes is nice. Some of those roads even have curves! (I have relatives up in Lexington.)

I once had a build scheduled for Week 2 as well. Now it is Week 8. Not counting the +8 behindedness factor.

We wait. We wait. We wait.

Best,

- samwisekoi

I would take an educated guess that they wouldn't change the column around, and the turn signal would be on the same side, no matter which side the steering wheel is situated on. Pedals will be the same the world over - don't worry.

Thanks Sam, I was pretty happy with how MMC interpreted my chosen spec. grin2

I'm sure that you can't wait to have your 3W delivered. I'm sure the wait will be worth it. thumbs

Cheers
Brian

I just got off the phone with John at Auto Europe and my 3 wheeler now has a VIN number!! This means I can now get insurance quotes for it - and more importantly, it means that my 3 wheeler must be entering production soon, or has entered production, I would hope!
