I hope George Osborne isn't reading this, or we're screwed.

Oops!!! Norway is a "No-Go" area in that case!!!
VRT here seems so much better now!!!!
As far as George Osborne goes -- I think you are screwed anyhow given the way he is missing borrowing targets and printing money willy nilly!!
It is George Soros you really need to worry about!!
Cheers!!

Hi Robbie. I wished I lived in Ireland (only for the car bit than ). If I want to import my Aero8 S4 2008 (Tango ),which I have here in the UK for "work",at home in Norway I have to pay today just over GBP 50,000 (no it is the correct amount of zero's) to register the car!Talking about thieves! So next year, when work here in the UK will become less for me,I probably have to sell Tango Rudolf A little bit of me is slightly cheered by this. Years of hearing how Norway hadn't p*ssed it's North sea oil legacy up against the wall, but had invested it it in a sovereign wealth fund & so everything is hunky dory were starting to grate slightly; however it appears that it isn't Nirvana after all....

You can't even drown your sorrows in Norway faced with such a mog tax. I went on a cruise there in August and a pint of lager was £9. They may have a sovereign wealth fund as opposed to a deficit, but I think I would have to apply for a green card and join our friends in the land of the fiscal cliff.

I was in Norway this year on a cruise too. Costs seemed high....... lager at extortionate prices. Fish ans chips in Bergen fishmarket approx £15. Luckily I only wanted a coffee...... Roads and scenery were stunning though.
