I did press charges - I insisted they buy the car from me (same model as your Telegraph link) and sued them to ensure they did.

The point is that the Morgan dealers are more enthusiasts than slippery sales people - I couldn't imagine that sort of thing happening.

I whole heartedly agree, Yorkshire is an utter MMC dealership desert!

However should a respectable MMC dealership in our beloved county occur, I would really miss the quality of work and excellent service from Phil Legerwood and his family.

With a newly serviced motor the return drive from Legerwoods over the fabulous Humber Bridge and a very pleasant blast on the quieter section of the M62 (the Hull-A1 section makes motorway driving almost tollerable), does make up for having to travel to rural Lincolnshire!

Hi T B. - When you drop the car off for service, what do you do then. It's too far to come home and anyway you would need a second car and driver, and Winterton is in the back of beyond.

Unless they give you a loan car to explore the fleshpots of cleethorpe's for a few hours.

In answer to your question I use two cars. I leave my motor at Ledgerwoods and pick it up when it's ready and convenient for me. Generally one of my lot is around that area on business, so I hitch a lift.

Not ideal, but compared to a visit I had to make to the factory, a doddle believe me!

And there's still that drive back......!

Maybe you should start a campaign to have a MMC dealership in Yorkshire. I'm sure you'll get more support than our recent PCC elections !

That incident with the crashed car? It wasn't at an Aston Martin dealer, was it? I was told by the Aston dealer that I had to put down a big deposit on a Vantage BEFORE I could have a test drive.
