Paul, would you agree that the exposure will create interest in Morgan (and their cars) no matter what the logo is?

My feeling is that people will care less about the logo and more about the cars (and what they represent) than the aesthetics of the symbol that people utilise to promote the celebrations.

I do hope Morgan make the most of the event because (as I’ve harped on for a few years now), they NEED fresh owners. We, the greater Morgan community, are growing fearfully close to being an inbred bunch! Some fresh genes for the customer pool would be good for both the community and commercially. laugh2

It is my feeling that the logo won’t make a darn bit of difference – if people like the cars, they will seek out the company and how to own one.

Hi Simon

Yes – of course, any exposure will create outside interest, no, of course, the public will not pay any conscious attention to whatever logo is used.

However, on a sub-conscious level they will notice the logo – they won’t think about it, but it will be stored away. The more they see it, especially in conjunction with the cars, the more it will become ‘entrenched’. If it didn’t work, the big players wouldn’t spend so much getting their designs in front of us.

I too would love to see the marque become more popular. This would happen if ‘brand awareness’ increases. People cannot buy what they don’t know, or don’t think about. That’s why manufacturers pay a fortune for ‘product placement’ – put a car in a ‘Bond’ film, and the punters want to buy a piece of that lifestyle.

I don’t know the source, but ‘the more you tell, the more you sell...’

Pinched quote from a boss when I worked in civil engineering - just loved the image of our hairy-bottomed operatives pulling each-others pig-tails in a dispute on site.

Anyway, I don't play banjo!

(Question - how do you know the stage is level? Answer - the banjo player dribbles out of both sides of his mouth)
