I just received an email from Stratstone advertising that they had opened 2 more Morgan dealerships. This is a great sign for all concerned.
http://stratstonenews.com/rp//235/proces...3CCE5746F9FE178 Lets hope they learn to describe the cars with a bit more accuracy !
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

Mmmm not sure about Stratstone - found them v v v difficult to deal with on the Motorcycle side of things - very "take it or leave it"
and totally dominated by Corporate "rules"
hopefully their Morgan Dealerships will be different

I am affraid it won't as these businesses are run by number crunchers, not enthusiasts.

The Stourbridge outlet is only about 5 miles from Mike Duncan's. What's going on?

Could be more damaging in the long run than any factory technical new stuff
.
If our local dealership for Jaguar Land Rover is anything to go by. After half an our there trying cars for size, still no interest in our presence.
So no Coffee or Bacon Butties there in the future if they get the 'Morgan' Marque as well.
Their other 'Aston only' dealership offers Land Rover only in the Winter as they cant sell an Astons then

Frank - I remember when I bought my S60 from my local Volvo garage a while back. I was sat waiting for something and watching an affluent looking couple who came in looked at the new showroom models and were ignored. They obviously wanted attention, they stood, waited some more were ignored for ages and eventually threw up their hands and left. Working in sales, I could not believe what I was seeing. Soon after, the garage closed. The Morgan, family owned garages might seem a bit quaint I suppose to some compared to the glass and chrome palaces but I love em. Like the Ledgerwood open day last Saturday, I'd only bought a pot of paint from them five months earlier and they remembered who I was!

+1
I like to visit a dealer where I know that the owner and not a PLC, runs the business.
However PLCs are very slick at selling themselves to manufacturers and often have sites available in which to locate the franchise.

I agree and surprisingly so does my wife. She reckons that car dealers like Stratstone arent in any way enthusiasts unlike bike dealers or true sports car types. And thats certainly the case where stratstone have popped up as bike dealers
