Plenty of RE dealers over here...

I once owned a '93 500 Bullet DeLuxe. Nicknamed El Yid. L398 YDD. Wish I still owned it. smile

When I lived in Kenya & my Guzzi Le Mans was in storage in Holland I bought a 350 Enfield Bullet in true Indian spec i.e. with 6 v electrics etc.

Great fun

Rose tinted eyeballs wine laugh2

It's a bit like a Morgan Richard - requires constant vigilance on the part of the owner - hopefully one then doesn't need to go out to buy nuts and bolts on a regular basis rofl

Cheers,

They do need TLC. Don't go fast but are just fun

In Germany someone offer them with a construction machine Diesel from Hatz (Germany).

Sommer Diesel 462 (Enfield based)

I think they don't need more than one or one and a half litre Diesel per 100km. But the sound is very unconventional.

This is a DYI version with chinese engine.

Enfield Diesel Do-it-yourself w. Chinese engine

The video is in German.

Keep mogging

Rather sadly I enjoy the getting down to it and greasy bits almost as much as the driving/riding machinery.
Provided the unit was inherently reliable I could cope with a few minor bits not working and/or falling off after all a few of us have plenty of experience on this front.

Would you buy another Graham.

If I was in the market for another bike - YES!

Ham radio pal of mine just across town has two Triumphs. He's had them for a long time. The Speed Triple is having a full rebuild, while the Bonnie is still fine. So, he bought one of the new REs a couple of months ago. He loves it!
Mind you his Volvo had a major MoT failure a couple of months before that so he bought a Pious!

I had a Speed Triple, it was a great bike but too heavy to wheel about when parking etc and I chopped it (no not Easy Rider laugh2 but Px ) for a KTM Duke which was more like a Tiger 100 and great fun, sadly sold to raise some funds to buy some land from my neighbour to build a garage on to keep the bike in rofl

This is my 2004 Royal Enfield Bullet 500, slightly modified:

Kickstart-only, gear change on the right side.

I´m the first owner from new. I like this motorcycle very much.
