Hello all i have just (on the 23 dec) taken delivery of my new roadster. What a wonderful car so pleased with it. However i have one small issue that i hope some one will be able to help me solve. My left hand wing mirror does not seem to have enough adjustment for when in driver seat (rht hnd drive)cannot adjust in close enough to see left side of car. Have stuffed a wad of paper beneath stalk at base where it attaches to car on the springy bit,but looks sort of dodgey. Works for moment tho. Many thanks and a warm seasons greetings to all.

Hi Randall,

I have had the same problem on a couple of Morgan's. Get them to switch you to a pair of mirrors that work!

No idea why they fit such rubbish to a prestige product. One of life's little foibles I guess.

Enjoy the Roadster.

Cheers.

PS - The stem adjusts as well as the mirror itself. Pull the stem to another notch setting and then adjust the mirror.

No guarantee of course, but sometimes it works.

Good Luck.

I had this problem too, and solved it by slacking off the nut and pulling out the mirror and stem. I removed the mirror from the stem; secured the stem in a bench vice and gave it a little light persuading. It's been perfect ever since.

As dmh has implied, you'd have thought that after 75 years of building the 4 wheeler in various guises that MMC would have cracked the whole mirror thing, (but not in a 7 year's bad luck sort of way).

I assume they are the factory fitted ones. If so then it is a problem most owners seem to suffer wit!. I replaced the ones on my Plus 4 with round ones from Heart of England Morgans (no connection etc....) after just a week.

Congrats on your Roadster! As it's new I really would try your luck with the factory along the lines of 'fit for purpose' and 'do me a favour please and give me some round ones'. Might work as they are known to be 'somewhat problematical'.

Librands round mirrors for me ,had the same problem on my +4
However the glass has fallen out twice...!!!
One fell out and nearly hit Frank on his round Britain trip as he followed me to Ledgerwoods. scared .had visions of it going through his radiator as we were doing around 70mph on the motorway at the time . Fortunately it hit the road in front of him and disintegrated. pantsdown
