Dean, You know your stuff. I shop around every year and always end up full circle with Gott & Wynne, renewed yesterday. They put me with Equity Red Star and yet others said they used the same policy but wanted more money and higher excesses. Really need to pin down exact details, eg Protected No Claims, salvage rights etc. I forget who, but one quoted Red Star for nearly twice as much. I am still waiting for a reply from one'approved insurer' who advertised in Miscellany and my request was this time last year!
I would be interested in how you get on.
Cheers

I'm with Chubb - it's a little more expensive than Gott and Wynne but the policy benefits are significant.

I was previously withthe MMC club insurers (Headley) as they were great including track cover on Aero 8 insurance at the time, but they couldn't cover the 'max at all.

Dean check out Bewiser insurance they use Aviva and I am well pleased so far(2nd Year with them) they have provided a good service so far.

I checked out all the online deals but once I had gone through all the T&C's these guys worked out the best for cover and cost. This included Good European cover + Break down cover + legal.

It seems Bewiser hasn't got the hange of it, after fully explaining what the Max is they have still quoted for an Aero8 at "WAIT FOR IT £11878.40 but i can pay a deposit of £2400.00 and monthly instals of £1182.00 WOW pantsdown

Dean not that bad then. I got an on line quote to include the kids on the aero from memory as I banged my head on the floor when I read it, its was something like £25k with a £50k excess.

Jesus H C Dean .... WTF have you done ? run down a row of school kids ? got 9 points on your licence ? crashed a lot ? live in a dodgy area ? .

I am guessing non of the above so its really down to trawling through all those bloody online quotes and really going over the policy document T&C's. Good luck!!! with the spend
