Hi Quicksilver, the radio I had fitted by the factory, which does have a separate remote control is an Alpine CDE 112Ri.

I'd recommend a clock. It can be difficult to see a wrist watch when you are up to your ears in flying jacket on a cold winter's day

One of the things I got my dealer to do before I collected the car was to move the mirror mount to the top of the screen. I remember when I collected the first Roadster. The position of the mirror blocked all view of any nearside turnings. Must be an EU ruling to do something that stupid

I had to pay for mine! Cost £103! Perhaps they are giving freebies now to sell more Roadsters.

Frustrating.

My dealer thought I would have to pay initially but the factory said no charge. I think the clock is now integral to the dash design otherwise the panel in front of the driver looks a bit bare without it.

The factory supplied us with an Alpine CDE-131R CD receiver with USB and iPod controller (I think the CDE-112Ri was a previous model). The remote control is an option but the factory supplied it too at my request. There is a version with the added function of Bluetooth, the CDE-133BT.

Alpine say it works with iPod and iPhone but the way the fruit company keeps changing their interfaces I would not guarantee it: I know of at least one iPod that will not work with it. They also function with Nokia Symbian phones.

As I mentioned above I use it with a USB Flash drive that is very small and unobtrusive.

Thanks Peter. I have looke up this stereo - seems ideal with the RUE 4202 Remote. So I will ask for this - if there is a problem about supplying it I will just buy separately and ask the dealer to install.

Just had back from Morgan and unfortunately the interior hood lining is only available in standard hearing aid beige - black interior lining is not available

I wonder if there is some way I could retrim the hood interior black at a later date

Probably it is more likely they only keep the one material in stock. I think they use Stayfast if so black/black is available.
