Is it just me? I would love to see Morgan really go to town on the underbonnet appearance of the engine and ancilliaries. They do a decent job, but wouldn't it be great to lift the bonnet and reveal a a stunningly designed engine bay? I am thinking custom cam covers, polished manifolds, channeled wiring, all ex-factory. Your thoughts?

I totally agree. The wiring is a mess....but then it is in most cars but that's hidden on them with plastic engine covers etc. My Sigma could be a pretty little engine ...it just needs some nice cam covers and a bit less plastic. A nice alloy radiator would be nice as well!

I do agree - but how much would it add to the cost of the car?

No its not just you Bud , thats why I started on my engine bay a long while ago its almost there 4 tins of stuff on the table down stairs to complete the job . I went into Halfords on Wed and the lad said they had took nothing all day no one been in it was 7-30pm makes you wonder . I need some sunshine and warmth to say thats it all done . Nice to know someone else has the same ideas as me so I am not alone . But what would be the cost of that mog I am sure someone would purchase a one off . Put some when its all done . John T.

The black top 1.8 Zetec in my 4/4 looks quite good on the passenger side, but on the drivers side. . . .what a mess! It looks as though everything has just been shoved in.

Don't get me started about Halfords. I ordered a few bits on 30th December mail order. To be delivered by 10th Jan. Didn't arrive by yesterday - which is plenty of time, even including New Years Day. The package reference is not recognised on the carriers website. So I e-mailed customer services yesterday and all I've had so far is an auto response telling me to check the carriers website. Very unimpressive service. I won't be using them again.

Bud, Very good point, Classics are always the attention of friends and enthusiasts and opening the bonnet to complete the walk-round is standard. All of my Morgans have had the standard factory layout and it is quite frankly, dull. To be honest, a Sigma Ford engine, how exciting can it be. It would be nice though to have the option for some chrome and shiney bits. The M3W does offer a bright pack so perhaps there could be something for the 4 wheel classics. If it were an extra then costing should be easy.

My Sigma could be a pretty little engine ...it just needs some nice cam covers and a bit less plastic. Hi Jays Have a look here- http://www.3d-dip.co.ukA quote for my cam cover and rocker cover was £175, I think it was last year but can't find conformation. Cheaper than other alternatives, leaving money for that Mulfab alloy rad, long range petrol tank with the small one inside for sprinting, hill climbs etc!! But to be honest my only bug bear would be the air box, Cam cover, Rocker cover. Regards Cain
