Interesting website! I got around the horrid plastic air box ok.........  The other side needs something to give it a list....and the wiring etc is frankly a mess. The manifold is now wrapped in titanium wrap which improves things a tad.  I've got the car at the factory at the moment for something a little more interesting.

A good point to start would be to take an Alfa 156 V6 engine finish as the standard to go for?
Or take a look at the detailing on a modern Triumph Bonneville - they have even made the injectors look like carburettors, in an effort to keep the "traditional" style of the bike

There used to be a firm that could spray chrome onto plastic , the chrome was in any colour you wanted ( just like a crash helmet ) They have or are about to be taken over I can look them up if you want.
Found another one while looking for the first one.

There used to be a firm that could spray chrome onto plastic , the chrome was in any colour you wanted ( just like a crash helmet )
I would avoid chroming the rocker cover etc as it would not disperse engine heat into the engine bay but reflecting it back into the engine increasing engine temp. Cain

Interesting website! I've got the car at the factory at the moment for something a little more interesting. Glad you like it the other option would be to have a rocker cover machined out of alloy billet! Looking forward to seeing something a little more interesting from the factory Cain

Hmm. Other than keeping clean and tidy, and avoiding chafing of hoses and wiring - which is important anyway - I don't see the point of underbonnet bling that doesn't add function. I'm happy with my black plastic cam cover and black hoses.
OTOH the nice big S/S manifold I've had fitted looks good and is functional!

Nigel I agree, I like to keep my clean and tidy...but my S/S manifold did transform that side of my engine bay....

The amount of heat that goes back would be so little if any that you would not notice it as my dial does not and has not changed at all . It stays at 1/2 even if I welly it hard.

Chrome might be a little too much bling for me. Dull nickel plating would look nice but I'd settle for nice black crackle paint and a better solution to routing the wiring.
