A genuine, UK sized, 48? Have to ask after the number I've seen that say 48, but anyone larger than 42 wouldn't get into it - OK, I'm an FB

Hi Graham,
Yes, it shows a size 48,and I would not disagree with this being now a 44 myself find it much too large and have bought a smaller size.
