A coworker gave me a contact at Allstate and they are insuring my Morgan, normal motorcycle insurance with no restrictions like the classic policies, all for $160 less than my quote from Hagerty.

Not sure if I've missed it Charlie but has it arrived yet? If it has and you've sorted out insurance I'll say goodbye, as I'm sure you'll have something far better to occupy your time than TM

No, no, it has not yet arrived. Even if it had, the weather has not been good enough that I could even get it home from the dealership. Looking at the extended forcast, there is no end to the snow and cold in sight, so my coverage doesn't even start till March 1st.
I just like being prepared and over the weekend I was a little worried about this situation, but everything worked out rather effortlessly.

Charlie, I'm disappointed that you're using the weather excuse I thought that was only us Brits. Has it left the factory yet? I'm over on at the factory on Thursday if you want me to take it for a test run for you.

Thanks for the offer but I believe it is currently in a container with 2 others heading to the dealership. And as far as the weather goes, the lake effect snow storms have not fully stopped in over a week and with wind chills in the negative digits every day, the excuse becomes an unfortunate reality.

Thanks, fingers crossed - it is all sorted now. Here is a recent satellite image of the Great Lakes, Michigan (the mitten shaped state - right center) is buried under all of those lake effect snow clouds! The cold south east winds from Canada across our slightly warmer lakes makes for some good storms.

Mine is insured with State Farm as a motorcycle, premium was inexpensive for 500 deductible, try them....god luck
