In the case of the present LR, it was a plastic pipe that failed! However, that may have been weakened in the rebuild... Err, so maybe a good idea to replace them!

The plastic fuel pipe in the Morgan was Nylon and looked to be the original fitted in 1969. I will probably replace it with a new Nylon one as in its current position clipped along the sill it isnt subject to any abrasion. Kunifer pipe with a flexible to the engine might be a good alternitive also.

Make sure you get fuel grade tubing. Some of the older stuff is not sufficiently resistant to modern "green" fuel.

 I can't think of anything less "green" than putting ethanol in petrol!
