Guys you may have noticed (I know some of you have smile ) that having been a main instigator and activist I have not been contributing here much. Regrettably due to health issues I have had to pull out of the trip.

What I do want to say though is that this has snowballed beyond any recognition of my original idea of a Morgan Road Trip to raise money and awareness; into a slick superbly organised and supported trip that will hopefully surpass and indeed smash the £50k target we have set.

Thanks in full to the incredible team going, the incredible team supporting and the incredible people donating. I am priveliged and indeed honoured to have been involved and to watch it taking place.

As I know only too well now you just don't know what is around the corner health wise and listening to the incredible Lucy's story the more we can raise awareness and indeed research into this potential killer the better. Whilst I am in favour of, and indeed support with the odd donation, many many charities I know that in this case the funds raised will be used and utilized directly specifically and accurately in working to support research into treatment and to support to those unfortunate enough to have the ailment.

Onwards and upwards to the Nordkapp Team drive cheers

Cheers

Andy,

You know my thought's on this and we know you'll be with us in spirit.

What I should add is that although Andy can't join us he's still sponsoring his son Tom to follow along and video the trip for your later enjoyment.

Tom said to me "That's what Dads are for" cloud9

What he's hasn't told Tom is that he's camping.

Andy is aware of this but I'd ask that you all keep your diaries clear for the 5th of May as we leave blighty and the 25th May as we're trying to plan something special to finish off the trip, and it would be good to see the TM collective.

More details in the next week of so.

Andy, I know that you have been talking of a trip to the Artic Circle for at least five or more years and there is little doubt that you are what the Norwegian's call a pollarhuller, someone with a hunger for the Poles; an addiction. There is no doubt that your trip to the Artic Circle is just delayed and that you will make the journey soon. thumbs

As Asbo has said your spirit will be with us and I'm working on a little something that we can bury there, so that at sometime in the future it will be found and people will know Boshers was there!

Cheers
Brian

P.S. Maybe you should be planning a Cairo to Cape Town trip for next year whilst you are recuperating? coffee

As John and Brian have said, it will not be the same without you on the entire trip; however, between Brian's plan, my own and you joining us for a section, I have no doubt your spirit will be with us the entire route.

I would expect Brian to find an excuse to avoid cold weather but trust you to trump him with your get out of jail (or should that be get-out-of-cold-weather) card!? wink grin2

Joking aside, everything I need to say has been said in private and I'm proud to have planned this trip with you and without you, we wouldn't have even taken the first step of the journey. Whether you are in the car for the full 5,000+ or none of them at all, you are as much a part of this challenge as any other part of the team.
