The wing sidelights are a type 233 4 watt, with a BA9s fitting, so googling either of these should get you what you are looking for.
The Number plates lights are the same bulb but there are 2 of them in each light.
(This is for the 02 trads, not sure what has changed - if anything - since).

Nigel,
I have fitted LEDs in the wing top light fittings and they look very white and bright, ideal for daytime running lights.
I also changed the small bulbs in the headlamp unit with white LEDs as well, so they match the wings.
Neil Neil....where did you get the LED bulbs for the wing top lights from? I've been trying to find some! Jay, I used Autobulbsdirect.co.uk and ordered 233 9x LED Car Bulb Extreme Power - White (coded sku -233LED9W-1) I am sure there are other suppliers but the service was good and the LED bulbs are well made. I do not think that LED hast the same effect as normal lamps, the lumen is not so high, if you want a lamps as show lights, yes aim agree but as daylight only 1 led?? Today you need for a good daylight more led. Until now, I have not found a light to replace the daylights

I would agree that a LED in each wing-mounted sidelight, even a bright one like a 1.5 watt Cree, is not going to replicate the effect of an Audi with daytime running lights. But it would increase visibility. The alternative is to run with headlamps on, of course, like bikers do.
A proper DRL installation is supposed to switch off when the headlamps are on, this would not be the case if you just replace the sidelight bulb with a LED bulb.

I don't understand the whole "replace nice visible orange indicator lights with clear" thing at all. The indicators on cars fitted with them become invisible. Surely I'm not the only one who can't see these cars indicating when I'm sat at a t junc waiting to turn out and the bloke turns left into my street and I start to swear then notice he was actually indicating but with tiny bulbs that show a faded orangy colour behind clear glass. Can be totally invisible in sunlight. What's the point anyway? What's wrong with orange glass? What am I missing? Nick (now made myself grumpy :-) )

Nick, I cannot speak for the others but the silver bulbs I had on the Mustang were as bright as the standard amber bulbs but, IMHO, improved the look over the stock 'fried egg' look. Personally, I am not to bothered about the amber lights on the Morgan, although I do think certain body colours look cleaner with white lights, rather than amber. It is purely a style choice and as long as the candle power isn't decreased, or the function of the bulb, I cannot see an issue.

Some of the LED replacements are not just one LED but in some cases up to 9. I agree they are not as good as the purpose built ones on new cars but they certainly show up even in daylight. As someone has already said, it's better than nothing and helps towards road safety.

Hi Nigel,
Excuse me for being a bit dim, but I don't understand the wiring of this unit, I have just bought one and there are three wires on the unit, black, green and red, which there are only two on the Morgan light, could you tell me which one goes where,

The black lead goes to earth or negative. The green goes to the other wire. Just tape up the red one as its not required.
I have just fitted one and it works great. Looks good as well

Or, for extra light, join the red and green together, to the non-earth wire. Wear shades though
