I loved my Red and Grey 2CV Dolly and had one of my best ever holidays in France in that car.
I think it was one of the first polished 2CVs the French had ever seen!
It has already been mentioned, how much grip they had, but they were also magnificent in the snow; low power, narrow tyres, large wheels and good ground clearance menat they were almost unstoppable in the white stuff.
A car I would have kept, had I the space to store it.

Richard,i once owned an AMI Super...that was a hoot to drive,what with that howling 1015CC flat four and all..i wish i stil owned that,but rust beat me to it

I had a Dyane for a few years in my youth. It was like the 2CV great in snow. It was the only car to get out of leighton buzzard after a heavy fall. Married at the time and had a knee op up North (ex father in law surgeon) my ex preferred the Dyane to the company issued Vauxhall.... for visiting. Great load carrier as well. it was however replaced with.... a Morgan

All I can say is, if you blokes carry on like this I shall have to get one (2CV, that is). says she wants to replace her Fabia this year and as she started all this (see original post) it looks like she might get one. But off on hols for a couple of weeks now , so we'll consider it when we get back. Toodle pip!
