Yup, it restarted without a problem. Of course I don't remember if initially it wouldn't restart because the clutch was not depressed. Same as when it first cut out, it probably wasn't until I was at my final resting place (with the clutch depressed, I suppose) that it restarted. What I did between the initial cut out (which was not a stall as I was travelling along at about 80kmh) and then the coast, stop and laughter as my wife pushed the car along, I cannot say. Maybe I didn't try the clutch, but it usually it is instinctive to depress the clutch while sitting and trying to start a car. Let's see what happens next outing. Certainly not boring!!!

I don't have a M3W.... But do they have a bump switch thing?!
In my Roadster there is cut out switch which deploys in the event of a collision - an electronic switch. They can, I'm told, activate if you hit a severe bump in the road. Might the 3W have done this - causing it to cut out?

I think it mentions one in the manual (don't have it here) -under the "bonnet" behind the oil tank - but I might be wrong

I believe that the "mass cable" is the ground cable. Seems tight from the battery terminal to the ground cable, and then tight again from the cable to the battery tray. Not sure if there is anywhere else to check.

I got mine about 2 months ago followed closely by the flue then a trip to China on business. I still put about 650 mi on it. Such a great machine. Have ridden big v-twin bikes for 50 years. This thing is as good and I don't have to hold it up when I stop. Only one small problem. I had the Starcom Intercom installed at the factory. The jacks they installed extended too far into the transmision compartment and were cut by the back of the trans. I took it to the dealer here in So. Ca. where they were removed and I was told they would send in a claim. Looking at Starcom web site I find that these were there stock jacks for hard mounting on a bike and new ones would surely end the same way so I ordered panel mount jacks from Mouser Electronics (less than $4.00 ea) and fitted them into the stock covers. Lots of clearence so that is fixed. Took it to a motorcycle show last Saterday it was a hit. The bevel drive still howles a lot but I can live with that.

Picked up the 3 wheeler from Auto Europe today! A big thank you to Eric, Tom and John, really everyone up there was great to work with and they even came in on a Sunday for me. The trip home was a success, first 100 miles on the odometer, quite the reaction from most everyone who saw it on the journey home. What an experience!
