Enjoy the new car - looks fantastic! I must agree, that stripped down look looks great and with the 3.7L engine it will be a real Q-car...  Brian

I am not a fan of the Easy Up Hood  . Yes, it is more practical and probably gives better protection against the elements. But I have always loved the look of the Old Style Hood in mohair and I think it looks better up (giving the car a more traditional rakish profile) and better down as the lines of the car are kept clean with no hood bunched up on the rear frame. The car also looks better when driving half tonneau with the Old Style Hood. I may regret my decision when I have no fingernails left  I don't think you'll regret the decision at all. I had a few weeks with a 4/4 with the old style hood. It wasn't that much longer to put up and looked FAR better when the hood was down. If I could re-order mine, I'd be really 50/50 on which hood.

My dealer did tell me that if I ever want to sell the car it will be more difficult to sell with the old style hood. I can’t say I am convinced about this - but anyway, want’s the point of buying a car based on what someone else wants

I have an Easy-up hood on my 4/4, but do prefer the look of a traditional hood. (Interestingly, I think my car was one of the earliest to have an Easy up fitted; as it also has all the fitting for a Traditional hood fitted at the back of the car; side turnbuckles etc) However a Morgan umbrella will keep you nice and dry in the event of sudden shower, if you are held up in traffic queues! Your Roadster looks quite simular to my Roadster (black painting and saddle brown leather). Looks very classical. So, you did a good choise

Bud _________ 2003 - 4/4 A Morgan umbrella sounds like a good idea. If Morgan can make a bicycle, why not an umbrella. But a Morgan umbrella would have to have lots of press stud fasteners and take three quarters of an hour to put up - by which point it would have stopped raining.
