I had a test drive in the new 3.7 roadster on Saturday at the factory, it had power steering and was so good ,didn't get chance to try the power but was so impressed with the steering . Any one had power fitted to their Mog.?  if so what do you think ?

In my opinion you don't need it in the current series Plus 4. My friends '99 4/4 has very heavy steering though. I have tried to talk him into upgrading to bearings instead of the damper blades. I am sure the rack and pinion steering on the newer cars makes a difference too.
A Roadster with the much heavier engine up front may be another matter.

I don't feel I need it in my Plus 4 - we will be wanting electric windows next!
Is a Roadster heavier to steer?

I didn't know it was an option on the 3.7.
Whilst the Roadster is a lump to steer around roundabouts etc, I would worry that the power steering would remove the rather visceral nature of a Morgan. In addition, power steering is extremely difficult to get right - if set up wrongly, it can remove all the good stuff.
I'd love to try it to compare, but doubt I'd have it.
Is there a retro fit I wonder?
ETA David, yes it is noticeably heavier to steer than a 4/4 and +4

Allon White had a car in last year with an after market power steering kit fitted. It looked a very neat installation.

I'm curious rather than tempted. Power steering would be the first step towards cup holders and traction control.  The Morgan should be raw - at least for me anyway. Plus, I'm going to have enormous biceps after a few years of driving it.

I am in the "don't get it camp", my Roadster was fine without power steering, can't say I noticed the difference between it and my 4/4. Also these cars are kept for many years and it is just more bits to go wrong.
I say spend the extra money on gym membership
