The windscreen washer bottle on my 2010 +4 has died and needs replacing. The Mog is presently being looked after by my father-in-law in New Zealand. Rather than importing a Morgan part from the UK, does anyone know what the equivalent would be in some other make that could be sourced locally in NZ?

I replaced mine 2009 4/4 Sport with one from Holden's if they import to you.

http://www.holden.co.uk/displayproduct.asp?sg=&pgCode=040&sgName=Search&pgName=Washers+%26+Wipers&agCode=0700&agName=Washer+Bottles&pCode=040.049

About £30 with switch/wiring/tubing jets and all.

Thanks for the replies. Apparently it is the bottle that has split (I am abroad at the moment, which means I can't actually see the problem). I think it has been a faulty bottle from the outset as it started leaking soon after we bought it (from new). It was glued and now it is leaking again.

Have the 'split' bottles been allowed to become empty when the car is driven hard or on a hot day? Even though they are on the inlet side of the engine, it can get hot up against that bulkhead. Without liquid in the bottle to act as a heat sink, the bottle could be more succeptible to heat cracking...?

Never had a problem with my '76 and the bottle was on the exhaust side of the car.
However, it was probably original, and somewhat thicker than they are now.
I did have a problem with a plastic coolant expansion tank (non OE) at one stage. The last of my spare brass tanks from LR/RR was still on the car when I sold it.

Leyland/Daf Sherpa also had brass expansion tanks. Not the right orientation for a Morgan but a piece of cake to attack with a blow torch and re-solder.

Same tank I believe Martyn. I fitted mine nearly flat on the bulkend above passenger footwell.
Really must dig out the photos... smile
