What's most important in detailing is technique and process - not the products used. A well prepared car with Turtle Wax will look better than a poorly prepared car with Zymol.
A worthy sentiment. I also use a clay bar and the result never ceases to astound me; it removes so much gunk from the paint. Once clayed, the panels respond so much better to polish.

Absolutely. Panel preparation is the single most important aspect in detailing. A clay bar is essential if one is striving to achieve 'the ultimate shine'. Wax only adds about the last 10-15% of a car's look - it's the prep and the paint correction (polishing) that adds the most. Ben

Ben How about a simple guide to getting our motors looking like Aeroman's (assuming you have a decent car and paint to start with. Andy He's been promising to write us a guide for years!

Well, looks like I may get a free zymol polishing. Will be taking the Aero up to the NEC for the PH show in January in return for the free detailing.

Ahem. Hi Lorne for the sake of accuracy you may recall that when I ordered my +8. I intended to have two-tone from the outset.
However having ordered a car colour from a paint chip before and ending up with a nail-polish purple TVR Cerbera. I was determined not to make that mistake again and requested pictures of two-tone Morgans. I ended up with over 80 pictures of two-tone combinations (a valuable archive that I irresponsibly lost when I had a computer crash) I asked you if you would mind if I painted my car in your colours and you very kindly gave me the colour codes and my car was built using them in May 2002. The (your) colours created a great deal of interest, I was told by Steve Simmonds that a Dutch chap saw the car in his workshop and changed his order. So your unique combination of Vespa and Ferrari colours hit Europe earlier than you first thought <Smile>
