At last - Sunday route nearly ready. First half to lunchstop as follows
Leave Dolgellau on the A470 - stay on A470 - DO NOT go onto A494 !!!! After about 3 miles turn RIGHT onto the A487 - the junction has the "Cross Foxes Inn" on it as a landmark (reccomended as a coffee stop for another run but too soon for your run today?) Stay on this road for about 4 miles, watching for a RIGHT turn onto the B4405 (enjoy the scenery and views towards Tal Y Llyn (you will soon be driving past the lake!) Stay on this road for just over 6 miles (passing the TYn Y Cornel hotel on south end of lake - another possible stop for coffee if time permits but not sure of facilities as it's a trout fishing base) At junc with the A493 turn LEFT towards Tywyn. Stay on the A493 through Tywyn headed to Aberdyfi (coastal road), driving through Aberdyfi up the estuary of the River Dyfi. You loop inland slightly, but stay on this road until you reach the Dyfi Bridge. Turn RIGHT and cross the bridge towards Machynlleth - you are now back on the A487. Be aware that the bridge can sometimes be a slow traverse due to traffic/floods! Head into Machynlleth and drive through the town. At the Clocktower ( unmissable!!) turn LEFT onto the A489 - signposted (Newtown) After approx 1/3 mile turn RIGHT onto minor road signposted Llyn Clywedog 15 miles.(opposite the Community Hospital.) You are now headed up into the hills headed for a village called DYLIFE. Drive through Dylife and you come to a Junc with the B4518. Turn RIGHT - signposted Staylittle 1mile - Llanidloes 8 miles. You are headed to Llanidloes and will pass Llyn Clywedog on your way (large reservoir). Keep an eye out above for Red Kites - there is a feeding station in the area and you often see them. Arriving in Llanidloes drive to a Give Way junc with a tree on it and bear RIGHT. It's now a bit more detailed! Cross the bridge and you come to a roundabout. Turn RIGHT LEAVING ROUNDABOUT ON 3RD EXIT which takes you onto Long Bridge St. Stay on this street , passing the building in its middle(don't go under it!-you'll see what I mean when you get there!) You are still on the B4518 You need to keep an eye out for a small signpost for Tylwch (at a small white house?). Take your time here to get this right - its as you are leaving the town. You are again headed to the hills! Stay on the B4518 through Tylwch, headed for St Harmon and then on towards Rhayader. If you miss the B4518 don't worry as you will loop round to Rhayader anyway but on the A470.The B4518 is a complex set up - check a map! At the Leisure centre you meet the A470 where you turn LEFT - signposted Builth Wells. Not far to go for lunch now! After a couple hundred yards turn LEFT onto the A44 just after the Lamb and Flag pub - signposted Leominster. There is a clocktower/memorial round the corner a few yards. Stay on the A44 driving throuh village called Nantmel until you get to CRossgates. At roundabout turn RIGHT taking 3rd exit signposted A483 Llandrindod Wells. You will soon get to outskirts of LLandrindod Wells At roundabout go straight on - 2nd exit. Stay on this road into the centre of the town. Watch for the Metropole Hotel on your left(opposite a small park - large green building with Victorian facade. In 200 yards turn left at St John's Church. In a few yards again turn LEFT - just past Coleg Powys (red building). You are in Beaufort Road and after 100 yards turn into the Metropole carpark. You're there! Park as close to the rear of the hotel (green) and use the steps up to the rear entrance, walking through to reception. Enjoy lunch!
A long winded (in parts) description but hopefully it will work well. It's about 70 miles in total. I can take about 10 miles off if you want - cutting out the loop past Tal Y Llyn lake to Tywyn.

Is it too late to put me down for one place for the factory visit? Happy to take a reserve slot if needed.

If someone would be so kind as to record the TM Factory Tour and put the highlights on YouTube for all of us who would love to attend but can not; I know that I would be grateful!

Just read this thread for the first time today. Pity it will be Day 1 of my 1000 Mile Rally trip when I am on my way to Bristol. I am thinking about popping in on 30th (Day 2) just to say hello in between Cheltenham & Worcester fund raising stops at Mog Mag & Sainsbury's. Factory Visits are always good. If you let Mog Mag know you will be there they may send someone along.

When the tour guide says "Does anyone here have a Morgan ...", no sniggering at the back.
