Jays Don't mention in discussion with them, that you would like a Hasselblad, or they may use one!  Bud 2003 - 4/4 I was thinking about discussing Minox spy cameras instead!

I am pleased to report that although I am battered, sore and bruised, the investigation showed no signs of anything too worry about. Thank you all on TM for your concern and messages of support. It is very much appreciated.  Neil Its a nice sunny day and I am not allowed to drive for 24 hours - life is such a bitch at times. Great news Neil. This must be catching though.... just got back from the docs this morning to be told I've got to go for an endoscopy  A bit of a shock for someone who has swanned through life without a health care in the world ( apart from a partially disclocated neck thanks to a show jumping accident). After spending 10 years accompanying my wife through her hospital treatments... I have a hate of the places! Sorry to hear the news. They say that less than 1 in 10 have any sort of problem, so the chances are very good. Its not as bad as one imagines, and its all over in less than an hour. Just lay back and think of England, or better still a blast in the Morgan along some lovely british country roads. Good luck and you have the full support of this great bunch of TM enthusiasts.  Neil

Just to make it clear.....it IS the one down the throat.....NOT the other one!! Makes no difference - same kit. Just a quick scrub in between. You have to hope they get in all the nooks and crannies.

I had the audacity to ask Boshly if he got to keep the robot that helped perform his operation, via posterior entrance; he soon explained that a £500,000 mini-robot-surgeon was considered too excessive, by the NHS, to be a parting gift for his stay at the hospital.

In our vitual pub, which we know as the Malvern Arms, I thought that we could consider this to be the warm chair by the fire? The place within the pub where you can have a quiet chat with your best mates? Well done, Budster - 12pp of replies since March 12, so obviously a significant strength of feeling here. Had 10 inches of my gut removed 2 years ago which was a little vexing. Been OK ever since but next examination is end of this year, so anxiety starting to creep up on me. Had both sons at home this weekend so I showed them how to un-couple the Mog battery conditioner, told them about one or two quirks, and reminded them of the local dealer's presence. "Why?" they enquired. "Well, it could happen at any time...". Stunned silence. Did I do the right thing? My father never warned me of what happens when you get to a certain age or the imminence of the Big Sleep. Perhaps, like him, I should have kept my mouth shut. I retired 6 months ago. The Company asked me to stay on. Not bloody likely. I've probably got 15 years left, top whack. Not long, is it? So I'm determined to to get all I can out of the time. Four of us out in the Morgan yesterday- great fun, even for those in the back getting blown about!

Fifteen years is not long in the context of being sixty, but it's still one quarter of the life you have known.
But think how long childhood lasted. The seven years I spent at Grammar School was a lifetime.
I have a theory. When you're five, each year is a fifth of your entire life so each year passes slowly.
At sixty, each year is one sixtieth of your entire life so seems to pass much faster. But the reality is the time is the same and in the context of a teenager, fifteen years is a lifetime.
So lets look forward to the next fifteen years!!!!!!!

A visit to Haematology to be told I had a rare (incurable), slow acting blood cancer and they wanted to start my chemotherapy the next day.. I gave up work last year, having been absent for a fair proportion of the intervening period. My cancer won't go away, but it being controlled by daily (tablet) chemo and the occasional hospital "top up" I hope I may have another 15 years, but it could be 15 days, or even 15 minutes. Makes you look at life very differently, and particularly value the friendships and fun that has come from owning my 4/4 Right, I'm off to "the bar" and to play a game of darts Bud _________ 2003 -4/4
