Happy Birthday Rob.  There are some very humbling stories on this thread; some I know and some are new to me. To those who have shared new stories, and to the friends who have reminded me of theirs, thank you. As much as this thread should be a reminder of our mortality, I am also inclined to feel the real power is to celebrate life and the power of human spirit.

today is my 60th Birthday And Happy Birthday from me, too! In spite of the theme here of the effects of advancing years I was a lot happier being 60 than I was on my 50th (probably something to do with the end of work being in sight). Hope you feel the same.

I'm always sorry to hear of anyone's illness or worse. There's often a bit of a lottery it seems and we blokes are particularly stubborn about going to the doctor. What is uplifting is the open minded and supportive nature of TM folks.So when my NHS 60th 'birthday present' arrived I did not hesitate to get it done and sent for analysis and so thanks for the 'heads up'! I've had my own health problems and would be back in a wheelchair if it were not for modern medicine. I'm only just able to drive our Mog on a 'good day' but with the help of TM, every day becomes a good day whether driving or not. So cheers and good health to all.Dave

I liked the story of the american software programmer who outsourced his job to a chinese company for a fraction of his own salary then spent his day watching cat videos on youtube.

If it is the same one I heard he decided it was so successful that he took three jobs concurrently and outsourced them all. Three salarys and all the time in the world. Sounds like some of the management types on the forum.  
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

I have a regular full check up at Haematology every 6 to 8 weeks. On top of my regular daily (tablet form) chemo; they "top me up" if required. This usually means about an hour sitting in a comfy chair with a line in, watching the Day Care Unit TV, whilst being served a mug of tea and some biscuits.  Quite relaxing in a funny sort of way. There is an odd after effect though, known as PCCI or Post Chemotherapy Cognitive Impairment..... This is obviously the reason why I have just poured coffee into my bowl of cereals.  Staying out of the garage and settling down to watch the GP, before I do any more damage Bud __________ 2003 - 4/4
