Restoration almost complete

This is the car that I have been working on for the past three years. This is B1798, Shiela Hancock's former car, some will remember. I posted some mid-restoration photos here some months ago--this is the third re-build, but this time it was frame off.

It's almost ready.

Neilda,

I AM keeping it--I've had it for almost forty years--driven it all over Europe and the US. Not going to give it up now!

Bud,

The name on the valve cover (wish it were the cam cover--it's a cross-flow Ford)) is "Bressler Engineering", the people that built the engine. Bressler is part of Jon Stamps Racing, a firm that prepares racing engines. They used to run a one-liter Sprite at 10,500 RPM in Road Atlanta. My motor has a race-prepared cylinder head, racing cam, big Weber, electronic ignition, balanced and blue-printed, etc. It's loud and snarly, a real joy to drive.

I will probably replace that valve cover with a polished aluminum one soon--also install a polished K & N air filter--just for a little bling.

Forgot to mention in my last post.........I've never seen a Mog before with mirrors mounted on the wings. Not a great place IMHO, as the field of view is very limited, but maybe that was a quirk of the previous owner?!

cheers, Neil.

Neil,

For some photos of Morgans with wing-mounted mirrors, go to the Classic Morgan forum, then under "Traditional Morgan Colour Samples", look at pages 5 and 7 and you can see several examples. I think they were quite typical of the 60's Morgans.

I also have a removable windscreen-mounted mirror.

Allen, looks like a real labour of love and a job well done. Looking forward to seeing some more photos when you have finished her to your satisfaction.
