The +4 is, indeed, a piece. However, it is limited to the appreciation only of the cognoscenti. As you are in Houston, you will get infinitely more bang for the buck from the M3W, as you will have to explain it to no one..... they will come to you wherever you park, looking for your autograph.
Of course, I know that those matters are unimportant when it comes to cars and their owners.

I owned a TR4A engined +4 4 seater in the late 1960s and have just bought my second Morgan, a 3 Wheeler new in December 2012 so maybe I am quite well placed to offer you advice

For sheer fun there is nothing to beat the M3W and if you are based in Southern California you will get to use it more than here in snowy England. It is also well built and will start every time and you can customise it to exactly your own colour and finish preferences

The +4 looks a great investment car and you will enjoy driving her and it will be a more flexible choice for weekends away and commuting

Therefore if your head rules go for the +4 but if it's your heart then the M3W

The Plus 4, the three is a toy, I know most of you don't look at it that way but let's be real here, it is a toy, your Plus4 will steadily go up in value and you will have as much fun...

Playing the devil's advocate, I'd suggest the M3W is one level deeper on the toy scale.

The classic Morgan has weather protection, the M3W does not. To my mind, that makes it one degree harder to justify and thus more of a 'toy' than the classic range (even an older Morgan, therefore a true classic).

Simon,
Whereas the M3W is undoubtedly a toy, as it has few practical uses apart from enjoyment, I regard my Plus4 as a "toy" too - yes I do drive it always unless I need to have the load bearing ability of our Passat Estate, but I do definitely "play" with it - and get great fun out of doing so!!! Therefore I'm quite happy for someone to describe it as a"toy"!!!

Cheers!and Happy Easter!

Good call Dave, I'd agree with you, but where does a motorbike come in the list?
