I must admit to liking the black beemer with red seats. A few on the BMW site like that. This is an emerging theme for me. Black & Red, or Red & Black. There's also a Red Elise on PH..... Red & Black. I need help.

How much snow is there in Yorkshire in yer average Winter, Dave? I ask because the last snowfall-but-one here in Zummerzet, I picked up  from her nightshift in Glastonbury (Alt 10 feet above sea level) and brought her back over the Mendips (Alt 1000 feet) to Chewton. The one vehicle smacked against the stone wall along the A39 was a Beemer 3 Series. Cheers Jeremy

I owned a Golf VI that kept falling apart on me..never again.However,my collegue drives the 320D Touring,that's much better,plus it's rear wheel drive,which is definitely more fun to drive..it's ugly though,but that's in the eyes of the beholder..

I have what might be a pretty awful confession chaps: I don't think I'm interested in cars much. Dave said that if you wait long enough the desire for something passes and I know he is right. And if it doesn't then one has to ask oneself why that is.
I do like my Morgan and would not part with it without a very good reason. The family car (Fabia Combi) does exactly what it says on the tin so to speak and I'm happy with things as they are. Gone are the days when I worried about having the latest plate - in fact it was a two year period in the seventies - there is just too much else that is important, or maybe only a few things are really important. Cars are not on that list really.
Go for the Golf Dave.

Thats what I thought, it put me off the Audi but the Golf would not fit around us , An RS4 is just up my street but cant for one second expect to agree with me .I dont mind the bland looks , its not the most pretty estate car but with a mog parked next to it who cares. If you would like to stay "under the radar" maybe consider a Skoda Octavia RS diesel. Mechanically the same as the Golf but has the advantage of a very large boot and looking at the reliability surveys, more reliable.

The Ford Focus is a very functional car. I had one recently as a courtesy car and was pleasantly surprised.

Buy whatever car you like.....you actually get to choose.
I have three vehicles ; a Toyota IQ ,a VW t5 California Camper and a Plus Four and am happy with them and what they provide in terms of style, function, value and so on.
Frankly I am completely indifferent to the opinions of others on such matters.
