Hi guys, been a while. Great to see the forum thriving.

I have an 87 plus 8 fitted with a single system. It rotted and I replaced it with a relatively large diameter (at the tip) stainless single system. Sounds fab. A bit vulgar like a Sunseeker, but I like it.

Anyway, I cannot now stand the lingering taste of fuel in my mouth for hours after I drive, even a few miles.

I recall, a few years ago, reading a Gomog article regarding folks that fit large exhausts chasing power only to cause problems like running too richly for example. Trouble is, I. can't find the article, nor do I know if that is my problem....

The ecu was no reprogrammed for the new exhaust. It's an old school thing that can't according to my dealer.

So - what do you guys think?
- leaking at the manifold? Running too richly?
- cabbage exhaust? Fit a twin system (it didn't ship with one so I'd rather not).

Essentially , any advice appreciated (with thanks in advance).
