I don't know.
After driving the newer cars day in and day out, with their Electronic Stability Controls, Anti-Lock brakes, variable geometry this that and the other, auto transmissions, emission control crap, more safety crap, catalytic converters, auto headlights, back-up cameras, power everything, etc., etc., it just feels right to jump in the Morgan and drive.
I relish the dashboard made of a solid slab of wood, I enjoy no wind-up windows, no power assisted anything, no door handles on my car, and yes, the stiff suspension. The old Morgan joke was that you can ride over a cigarette butt and tell if it's filter-tip or regular. I like it that way. I like roaring around listening to God's own exhaust notes, shifting the old four speed, pitying the lesser mortals with their cushy suspensions, a grin on my face.
Nope, I'm going to keep my old sliding pillars. My.02 worth.

Good work Allen I suspect you have put into words what many of us feel - It's one of the main factors in buying a traditional, the rawness of the product with the heritage. I don't know.

Allen Well said Allen, My everyday car (Mercedes) does what it's designed to do beautifully, it's smooth, quiet and comfortable, but .....I never go for a drive in it just for fun, like I do with my Plus 8!!

Exactly Mike.
The adverts are out before the factory approval though. MMC seem to be dragging their heels as usual.
This is likely to be the standard suspension fitted to new cars AFAIK.
The suspension on the front of my 4/4 is accpetable - no nodding dog syndrome, so I won't be swapping straight away, until it's time for a suspension rebuild.
All those saying "no way" should try riding in a car that has this rising rate suspension. It's still very much a Morgan with firm front end. A little more initial suspension movement perhaps, BUT (and I mean a BIG BUT) the car is a lot more controllable on rougher roads (i.e. non-billiard table smooth) - there is far less steering input required to keep on the straight and narrow and is much easier to maintain a good speed...

Well, all I can say is the the proof is in the pudding. Peter took me out in his car with it fitted on Saturday and I was impressed. More so when we pressed on down some bumpy country lanes. I don't see it as a radical change to the front suspension, just a well thought out improvement. In principle not a lot different to the factory changing from damper blades, fitting adjustable camber plates or brake reaction bars.

Is this a system you'd still have to grease?
