I should have made it clear that I was referring to the Aero blades - these are different to the trad range I believe.

I am not so sure, but if they are Aero specific blades, I am even more interested! laugh

So... After some investigation it seems I understood but not solved) the issue.

The "male" part (2) coming from the "traditional" Morgan has a different milling (?) from the female one (1).
Beside this the housing of (1) is not a snug fit.
It seems that chrome arms (for Aero8) have a tighter fitting.
We will try with those as soon as my dealer get them from the factory.

Meanwhile we did the arm bending and the thing got a little bit better. We did not make the rain-x treatment since we decide to wait for the new arms to better understand the difference.

That is very useful. The fit between 1 & 2 on your schematic is very poor on my Aero - there is a lot of play and I have solved it (temporarily) with gaffer tape. There is still a lot of play in the linkages which means that the 'rest' position of the wipers varies.
The blades I sourced from ebay
28" BLACK Silicone Rubber Wiper Blades Refills 2 Pack £4.95 which you simply cut to fit.
The securing clip will need enlarging

You can just see the irregular filing that I did!
Now 2/3 wipers are perfect and actually clear the screen, one still needs further tweaking.
Good luck

My plan is the following.
1. driving enjoying the sun
2. see what happens withe the chrome arms when/if they arrive
3. try to make it tighter by using what in Italy is named "teflon tape" (PTFE tape???)

I have a spare set - I replaced the chrome with black!

The center wiper on our car needs a slightly longer arm. When it goes to the end of it course the end of the blade runs off the bottom of the screen.

Didn't you notice any difference between the two?
Do you remember how much did you pay for them?

The Black (Aeromax) arms were slightly better - a bit less gaffer tape - but not by much.
Price for blades and arms (2010)£109 inc VAT for all 3.
spend

Finally the combination of gaffer tape + twisting a little bit wiper arm it worked.
I do not know if it will work forever but for now it's great.
