Done thumbs - but not without a certain amount of not anticipated work...
There was absolutely no way of fitting the lower end without detaching the lower 'mounting'(?) from the brake shield first. To detach it I had to take off the drums and release the shoes a bit in order to hold the screws with a spanner. After that everything was easy, just a lot of turning of nuts and bolts...
Has anybody else had trouble fitting the AVO dampers on a 4/4? (-99)

Not enough space...

Mounting bolts - had to be detached. Also shows that I had to leave out a washer (inner) to make the locking nut work - will attend to this later...

Both finally done (4 hrs) - went for a quick drive today and it works absolutely perfect. 2 clicks for now.
