Since my car is appoaching the 18 year old mark ive decided to splash out and thave the bodywork proffesionally machine polished to remove all of those small swirls, flecks, light scratches ext and then waxed, ive opted for swiswax.

Just wondering if anyone else has had there car proffesionally polished and if so how much did it cost and where you happy with the result.

Also wondering if any of you have used swiswax and how well it worked on older cars. How long did it protect the car for for example.

I also had an option for a ditec treatment, anyone ever used that on an old morgan ?

Not an older car AND an extreme example but this gives an idea of the result possible with Swissvax: -

Brian (Aeroman) owned the car at the time and the result was stunning and it really doesn't come across on the video.

Not the first time I've been called Captain BirdsEye.

The best valetter I know is Chris Bailey - does work for Bonhams but is independent - also a Mog owner. He does a brilliant job with the cars on show at the Classic Car Show on the MSCC stand.
Before you ask - I am not on commission!!
Try googling Showcase SVS

I had my Vanquish 'detailed' (as it's called) and it cost around £700.

It was good for getting any paintwork blemishes sorted. The guy arrived at 9am and left at 6pm. It was a gargantuan effort. Lots of Zymol. smile
