£1.079 for 97 RON at Shell Maidenhead on Saturday. Probably imaginary, but I feel the Blue'un goes better on the strong stuff. coffee

No Shell stations near me frown2 and even Sainsburys is a slog.

If I drive to say a few pence, I loose them due to the travel mileage to and from the cheaper station doh

Doesn't surprise me. I always seem to get a better mpg with Shell.

If you us a Shell Credit Card at a Shell Station you get a 3% rebate. (1% on other purchases)

I agree, but I was in Maidenhead to collect something from a shop there. I would not drive 6-miles to fill up and try to save money. doh

Have you tried your post-code in the Petrol Prices website I posted? I suppose that if you live in a large house in the the expensive part of Surrey, then you can't really expect to buy cheap petrol locally. hide happy3

That sounds a good deal Ken, but really the last thing I (or especially Head Office) needs is another credit card. gloomy

I think that I'll just continue to patronise Shell sites and pay cash or other credit card, as my mileage in the UK is not high so the saving would not be hugely significant. grin2

I paid 1.209 per litre near the NEC on Sunday night for BP ultimate. Down south it's normally about 1.08

You must be mistaken... I've never heard my caravan be called a "large house" before! shocked2

And Ian, surely £1.209 is pure greed and feeding off the car-nuts they knew would be in the area? Especially as I generally find fuel to be considerably cheaper in the Midlands.
