Nordkapp Challenge fundraising total is currently at £37600.00 (at the time of posting)
I'm not associated with the effort in any way, but wanted to shout out to anyone who could spare £5/£10 pounds to maybe get the total up to at least £38,0000 before the weekend.
As the unfortunate
Philip Goodeve-Docker found out, these charity runs are not risk free. So a lets show these guys we care!
There have been 167 donations so far, but I'm sure the roll call of active Talk Morgan users runs far in excess of that. Now times are hard, and I'm sure that a lot of you are fed up with the constant requests from all corners for donations for every cause under the sun. But how about a £1? No donation is too small.
Now, you may not care about
Marfan Syndrome, nor ever heard of it before (I hadn't). But why not put your hand in your pocket for
Simon, the guy who created this 'haven' of all that is Morgan, and along with the others is financing the trip themselves.
The least you can do is donate a pound (which would be £1.25 with gift aid), If 2000 users did this then the total would exceed £40,000, only 10k short of the target! If everyone donates £5 then do the maths yourself. If you are lucky enough to be a Morgan owner, then surely that tells you that you have a few pence to spare!!!! Go make a donation and see what a nice warm wave of 'happiness' it generates!
If you decide that you don't want to donate (even after all of my polite hints) then I believe that if you could read up on
Marfan Syndrome, and make yourself and others aware of the Syndrome, then that is as good as a donation!
My final word is that some people choose to donate Anonymously, no one should be named or shamed for lack of donations!
