Hi,
I've done a quick search but without success. Can any one tell me where I can buy a tool to help with removal and fitting of the wire wheels which are fitted with a two eared knock off adaptor. I don't like using the hammer and would like to know with the use of a torque wrench just how tight I have fastened the wheel.
Thanks.
Paul

Hello Paul,
I bought a "two eared removal spanner" from the MG owners club a couple of month ago and it works a treat. Price about £45, the only thing needed is to line it with a good thickness of neoprene. It doesn't have any torque display but is easy to use.
All the best
Francis

Hello Paul, there is a Company called oldtimertools which produces removal tools. link oldtimertools But I don't have knock off wheels. So I don't need this kind of tools. Maybe other TM members can throw in their hat according these things. Keep mogging, Christian

Paul, Paul Harris, the classic tyre guy and Morgan owner mentioned in petemog's post, copied below, was manufacturing a tool. i saw the prototype last year and was impressed. worth giving him a ring. I use the MG tool which works well...unless it slips! It'll only slip once and then you learn a lesson.....luckily the scratch on the wings touched up!

I have one for 2-eared spinners that I no longer need. It's the MG one and is in excellent condition and I don't need it now as I have 5 nut alloys. PM me and we could arrange a sale. New ones are £39.99 in the current MGOC catalogue but mine will be cheaper!

Many thanks for your replies.
John +4 - I looked on the MWS website but could only see tools for the hexagonal fitting.
4acker - I looked at the oldtimer website but the prices were a bit steep for me.
Jays - I spoke with Paul Harris and he said they were about 6 weeks away. He was very helpful though.
Kinmont - Thanks, this seems like the best option.
sospan - PM sent.
Thanks again to everyone.
Paul

Just looking for decent postage prices to quote you Watty! Parcelforce are a bit steep. Royal mail seem to be pricing themselves very high.... not good for long term business!
