I have a terrible high pitched squeaking noise when I drive with the hood up and side screens mounted which is driving me nuts. I think I have located the noise to the side screen mounts. I might have over tightened them to much with the Tommy Bar. Loosening them of a bit seemed to help but now the noise has come back. Does anyone have a solution for this?

I have double sided sponge sticky tape attched to the bars from top to bottom where the side screen fits against the doors . But the side that touches the car leave the tape on over the adhesive .

It squeaks a little from the passenger side, Neil - but it is far worse on the drivers side.

Are you sure it's not the bonnet tapes? Try Vaseline over the bulkhead and cowl tapes.

Are you sure it's not the bonnet tapes? Try Vaseline over the bulkhead and cowl tapes. I don't think it's that Dave as the tapes were vaselined on Saturday when we were fixing the bonnet catches. I am not even convinced its the side screens. I just took the car for a spin to see if I could eliminate the noise and I discovered that when the side screens are lose I have the noise and when they are tightened to the maximum I have it. It likes a squeaking/ rattling noise. It doesn't sound healthy at all.
