Hey Graham, you know that's my trademark, if I didn't miss a bit then you wouldn't know how dirty my car was before I cleaned it!
Actually I think it really shows just how handy it is to have a light coloured car. Yours always looks cleaner than mine, but I suspect we devote the same amount of effort in that area...

My petrol cap does look a little tarnished..I must remember to mention it when it when the fellows at the factory service dept. clean the car as part of its annual service next March.

I'm just waiting for Jeremy (WR14 2LL) to pop in with his retort to someone who suggested he'd missed a bit while cleaning one day. But I think he's on holiday at present.
Yes Tim, there's a definite advantage to Royal Ivory over the darker colours. When New Elms give mine a clean after servicing I always feel a bit guilty - it always comes home gleaming (except for last Friday when I got caught in a lot of rain!)...

I yielded a little and just popped outside to clean the windows in the Roadster and the ever tarnishing petrol cap. The rest of the car is still gloriously grubby  I will clean it soon. Cleaning your car is a good way to show your love for it. Rather like caressing  It is the damned petrol cap and self dissolving mirror brackets that let it down - cleaning could be down to an annual event otherwise  Mine gets the full underbody hose down with low pressure karcher after his salty experiences every time - that electrolytic action is an unwelcome visitor.Cars very much like if you show them too much attention/affection they take you for granted and/or think you have been up to something in my experience - treat them mean and keep them keen and a little mucky. p.s. If she reads this I'm a dead man or at minimum a very hungry man.
