Yes, until a few months ago, a Trad was pretty much top of the list for me. This time last year I would never have guessed we would actually have one. Quote from neighbours over the road 'We were waiting for your rich friends to go home..."

Family friends used to own a Subaru dealer (back in the 80's/90's) and back then they were marketed as the Japanese Volvo.

We had a string of Legacys and a GL10 - all were excellent cars: well built and reliable.

Kin, I'd also like a Cobra but the AC variants are getting pricey, so I'd settle for a DAX.

Yes, of course, could not afford the original, many decent kitcar builders around, Dax Tojerio is one of them love

This one came as a bit of a shock; didn't know anyone was producing replicas...

I'm afraid so and many of them (resisting the chance to say "all") are quite nasty. sick

I actually went down to Sovereign Cars after selling the Aero 8 to look at a Cobra. The fit and finish on the Dax and AK was quite good. This was the one I went down to look at. The problem was I didn't fit in it - if you think the S1 Aero 8 is narrow, these are much tighter across the cabin. The DAX seemed a little wider and the width even seemed to vary slightly from car to car.

The one that was quite impressive was the ABSOLUTE PERFORMANCE built cars - link . The only downside is they get quite expensive and imho, I'd rather have a new/nearly new Aero 8 for the same money.

I was in almost the same situation as you, sell my Atom, get a Cobra, then heard about KTM X bow, went to Geneva to see the car, made the mistake of visiting the Morgan stand and the rest is history innocent grin2

Heres a Cobra builder come highly recommended by cobra members, brand new fully built for £30k
